PG Orehovec is a family-owned, vertically integrated poultry producer from Veliki Bukovec in northern Croatia. The Orehovec family has run the business since 2001, now in its second generation.
How it started
The business was founded in 2001 in Veliki Bukovec, in the Podravina region along the river Drava. We started by rearing poultry on our own farm and over the years added a slaughterhouse, a cutting and packing plant and a processing plant.
Today rearing, feeding, slaughter, cutting, processing and packing all take place inside our own group, under one management and one quality system. We are still a family business: decisions are made here, on the farm.
Why it matters
Because we own the chain, traceability is not paperwork. Every batch leads back to a defined flock, a defined farm and a defined feed lot, and we can tell you that within hours, not days.
